India has no shortage of news. It has a shortage of ways to read the same event from more than one newsroom at once.
Why we exist
On any given day, forty newsrooms cover the same parliamentary vote, the same court order, the same AQI reading. Each one makes editorial choices about what to lead with. Read one, and you have that newsroom's version. Read six, and you have six versions and no time left.
NewsPaksh does that reading. We group coverage by the event it describes, write one objective account from all of it, list the verifiable facts, trace the timeline across all filings, and show you the geographic and linguistic breadth of coverage.
Our editorial position
We take no position on the news, and we take none on the newsrooms either. We do not rate them, score their language, or tell you how any one of them framed a story. We name every outlet that filed, link to what it published, and leave the reading to you.
We also publish the coverage count on every story: how many newsrooms, how many articles. A story built from eleven outlets and a story built from one should not look alike, and on our pages they do not.
Legal framework & standards
NewsPaksh operates in compliance with Indian law. In accordance with Section 52(1)(a)(iii) of the Copyright Act, 1957, our service operates on the principle of fair dealing for reporting current affairs: we never crawl or scrape full article bodies, we synthesize factual event summaries from multi-source public feeds, and we provide direct outbound links to the original reporting newsrooms.
In accordance with Rule 11 of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, we maintain a dedicated Grievance Redressal Officer for copyright, defamation, and factual corrections.
