Terms of Service and Editorial Methodology

Under Section 52(1)(a)(iii) of the Copyright Act, 1957, fair dealing with any work for the purpose of reporting current events and current affairs does not constitute an infringement of copyright, provided the source is acknowledged. NewsPaksh never crawls, copies, or reproduces full article bodies from any publisher. It processes only publicly syndicated RSS feed metadata (headlines, publication timestamps, author bylines where provided, and teasers for factual extraction), synthesizes independent multi-source factual summaries, and provides direct outbound links to the original reporting newsrooms. All publisher sources are prominently acknowledged on every story page.

All story titles, summaries, and key facts displayed on NewsPaksh are automatically synthesized by large language models (Google Gemini) from multiple independent news reports and, where applicable, verified web search queries. While NewsPaksh employs strict corroboration requirements (a minimum of 2 independent newsrooms must cover an event before it is published) and automated anti-verbatim guardrails, automated synthesis may occasionally contain factual errors. Readers should consult the original source articles linked in the timeline for authoritative reporting. NewsPaksh is not a substitute for reading the original journalism.

All publisher names, masthead titles, typographic monograms, and brand icons referenced on NewsPaksh are the registered or unregistered trademarks of their respective owners. Their display is strictly for factual identification and source attribution under Section 30(1) and Section 30(2)(a) of the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and the recognized doctrine of Nominative Fair Use. Reference to any newsroom does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, or commercial relationship between NewsPaksh and any publisher. NewsPaksh stores, hosts, caches, and distributes no publisher brand imagery of any kind. Where a publisher icon appears beside an outlet name, it is retrieved by your own browser directly from that publisher, at a maximum rendered size of 16 by 16 pixels, and is never copied onto or served from NewsPaksh infrastructure. We circumvent no technical measure: a publisher that declines the request is shown as a plain typographic monogram instead, permanently. Any rights holder may have display of its icon switched off on request, without giving a reason, by writing to publishers@newspaksh.com.

4. Photographic Licenses and File Photo Policy

Photographs displayed on NewsPaksh are library file photos of the story's subject, not photographs of the reported event. They are sourced via the Unsplash API (Unsplash License) and Wikimedia Commons (CC BY or CC BY-SA). Every image is explicitly captioned as a file photo with full author attribution, license specification, and provider backlinks in compliance with the applicable license terms. Images carrying personality rights, trademark, or other non-copyright restrictions are automatically excluded.

In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act, 2023), NewsPaksh processes technical log data (server request timestamps, anonymised IP addresses, and user-agent strings) strictly for the specified statutory purpose of ensuring system security, routing requests, and delivering web pages. NewsPaksh does not sell, rent, or trade reader personal data. Note that because publisher icons are fetched by your browser directly from the publisher rather than through us, the publisher's own server may observe your IP address; NewsPaksh sends no referrer with that request, so the publisher does not learn which page you were reading. Under Section 12 of the DPDP Act, 2023, Data Principals may exercise their statutory rights of access, correction, and erasure by writing to our Grievance Redressal Officer at hello@newspaksh.com. For aggregated telemetry, NewsPaksh uses Firebase Analytics in anonymized configuration.

6. Limitation of Liability and Corrections

NewsPaksh strives for objective accuracy but does not guarantee the completeness or correctness of any synthesized content. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NewsPaksh disclaims liability for any loss arising from reliance on synthesized content. We maintain an active corrections and takedown mechanism accessible through our Grievance Redressal Officer at hello@newspaksh.com. Corrections are published promptly upon verification.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction at New Delhi, India.
