Multiple Ballistic Missile and Drone Attacks Target Saudi Airports, Killing 16

Between October 6 and October 10, 2026, King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh and Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia were targeted by multiple ballistic missile and drone attacks. The deadliest incident on October 10 at KKIA resulted in 12 fatalities and over 300 injuries. Across all attacks during this period, 16 people were killed and more than 300 injured. Saudi officials attributed these attacks to Houthi rebels, leading to the suspension of airport operations and flight diversions.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi commemorated the 10th anniversary of the 2016 surgical strikes on September 27, 2026, during his "Mann Ki Baat" radio program. Assam Rifles Jawan Killed, Four Injured in Arunachal Pradesh Ambush

On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, an Assam Rifles patrol team was ambushed by suspected militants near the India-Myanmar border in Arunachal Pradesh's Changlang district. The incident, which occurred around 6:30 AM IST near Nampong Nallah, resulted in the death of Havildar Jankhokai Kuki, aged 42, and injuries to four other personnel from the 21 Assam Rifles unit. The team was operating in an area where border fencing work was underway.

Trainer aircraft skids off runway at Baramati airfield
