Publisher Guidelines and RSS Policy

NewsPaksh respects the technical and legal boundaries set by Indian news publishers. Multiple publishers disallow AI web scrapers (such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and CCBot) in their robots.txt files while continuing to publish public RSS feeds for syndication. NewsPaksh strictly respects these directives: our backend never crawls, scrapes, or stores article bodies behind publisher websites. We process only publicly syndicated RSS feed metadata: headlines, publication timestamps, author bylines where provided, teasers for factual extraction, and outbound URLs. This approach is consistent with Section 52(1)(a)(iii) of the Copyright Act, 1957.

NewsPaksh is built as a discovery vehicle for Indian journalism, not a replacement for it. Every synthesized story features an unedited chronological timeline with direct hyperlinks to the full original articles published by each newsroom. We do not frame, cache, or reproduce publisher content behind our own domain. All reader traffic is referred outbound to the original publisher.

NewsPaksh holds no copy of any publisher's logo, masthead, or icon. Outlets are identified by a plain typographic monogram that we generate ourselves. Alongside it, the reader's own browser is permitted to request the publisher's favicon directly from the publisher's own domain, displayed at no more than 16 by 16 pixels. Nothing is proxied, cached, resized, or stored on NewsPaksh servers, and no technical measure is circumvented: a publisher whose server declines the request is shown as a monogram from then on, and is not asked again. Any publisher may also ask us to switch off display of its icon outright, unconditionally and without giving a reason. This is a separate request from feed exclusion below, and either may be made without the other: a newsroom is free to keep the outbound traffic while declining the mark.
