Manipur government informs Supreme Court that audio clips linking N Biren Singh are manipulated

The Manipur government and the Centre have informed the Supreme Court that forensic analysis by the National Forensic Sciences University indicates that audio recordings allegedly linking former Chief Minister N Biren Singh to the 2023 ethnic violence were manipulated. The court has directed that the forensic report be shared with the Kuki Organisation, which is pursuing the inquiry, to allow both parties to address the findings.

What Happened

The Manipur government and the Centre submitted a report from the National Forensic Sciences University to the Supreme Court on Friday.
