Actor Prakash Raj claims name removed from Bengaluru voter list during revision

Actor Prakash Raj posted a video on social media on August 11, 2026, claiming his name had been deleted from the Bengaluru electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. He stated that he was among 65 lakh voters whose names were allegedly removed, questioning how an individual born, raised, and previously active in the constituency could be excluded from the list.

Election authorities responded by stating that the actor was not arbitrarily removed from the rolls. Officials explained that during the house-to-house verification process, it was determined that the actor no longer resides at his registered address in the Shantinagar Assembly constituency. The authorities clarified that he remains an active voter in the records updated through June 16, 2026, and can restore his registration by filing Form 6 with his current address.
