Binoy Viswam criticizes Pinarayi Vijayan over opposition deputy leader post

CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam has publicly criticized Kerala opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan following comments made regarding the opposition deputy leader position. Vijayan had previously stated that the role would be filled by a CPM leader and that he would personally submit the nomination letter to the Speaker. Viswam responded by calling the remarks unilateral and stating that such a statement is not in line with the dignity or maturity expected of the opposition leader's office.

Viswam asserted that no leader has the authority to undermine the pride of the CPI. The appointment of the opposition deputy leader remains a subject of dispute between the parties involved. Viswam indicated that he does not accept the unilateral claim made by Vijayan, especially while discussions regarding the position are still in progress.
