BJP Criticizes Rahul Gandhi Over Cancelled Student Event in Prayagraj

The Bharatiya Janata Party has launched a series of criticisms against Rahul Gandhi following the cancellation of a student event titled Chhatron Ki Goonj in Prayagraj. The event, which was intended to address issues such as paper leaks, was called off after the Kayastha Pathshala Trust withdrew permission, citing waterlogging and directives from the Allahabad High Court. BJP spokespersons have since accused Gandhi of attempting to politicize student groups and spreading misinformation regarding police conduct.

Party officials argue that Gandhi is neglecting his responsibilities in Parliament by choosing to focus on external protests instead of participating in legislative sessions. They further contend that his actions disrupt parliamentary proceedings, such as Question Hour and Zero Hour, which prevents other members from raising public issues. The BJP maintains that ministers are present in the House to address concerns, characterizing Gandhi's approach to student issues as selective and politically motivated.
