Election Commission flags 48.9 lakh Bengaluru voters for potential electoral roll deletion

The Chief Electoral Office of Karnataka has published an assembly constituency-wise list of voters flagged for potential removal from the electoral rolls. The classification, known as ASDDO, includes individuals identified as absent, shifted, duplicate, dead, or others. Data indicates that the Bommanahalli constituency faces the highest impact, with over 57 percent of its mapped voters flagged during the enumeration phase.

Some residents have expressed concern after discovering their names on the list despite having completed and submitted the necessary enumeration forms to their local booth level officers. The ongoing Special Intensive Revision process requires voters to verify their details to avoid being removed from the final electoral rolls. Officials have indicated that the list is subject to further scrutiny before final deletions are processed.
