Priyanka Gandhi criticizes government over Ram Mandir donation allegations

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held a press conference on August 12 to address the ongoing deadlock in Parliament. She accused the central government of evading responsibility by refusing to provide statements on the alleged theft of donations intended for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Gandhi argued that the government is currently labeling the incident as a state matter, despite having leveraged the temple issue for political advantage during the lead-up to the Lok Sabha elections.

Gandhi further asserted that the Prime Minister, as the leader of the entire nation, should be accountable for issues that concern the public. She also called for the government to address concerns regarding police actions against students. The opposition has repeatedly requested statements from the government on these topics, but the ruling party has not provided the requested responses, contributing to the legislative impasse.
