Couple injured in pitbull attack in Patiala

A couple, identified as Ankit and Shifali, visited a house in Ghuman Nagar, Patiala, to inquire about a rental property. As they stood outside with a broker, the gate was opened, allowing a pitbull to escape and attack the woman. When the husband attempted to intervene, the dog attacked him as well, causing injuries to his back and legs. Bystanders eventually intervened with sticks to drive the animal away, and the couple was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

The incident was recorded by a nearby CCTV camera, and the footage has since circulated on social media. Following the attack, the couple underwent medical procedures, including surgery for the woman. Local authorities have initiated legal action by registering a first information report against the owner of the dog.
