Gaganachukki waterfalls regain water flow following Kabini dam release

The Gaganachukki waterfalls near Shivanasamudra in Karnataka have regained their water flow after the Kabini dam released water due to heavy rainfall in Kerala. The Gaganachukki waterfalls near Shivanasamudra have experienced a revival in water flow following the release of water from the Kabini dam in HD Kote taluk. While reports indicate varying release figures of 25,000 to 30,000 cusecs, the influx has caused the waterfalls to cascade once again after appearing as dry rocks for much of the season. The site is now drawing crowds of tourists from cities including Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Chamarajanagar.

The region had previously suffered from a lack of tourism due to a deficit monsoon that left the waterfalls dry.
