Idukki District Collector orders closure of High Range Zipline

The Idukki District Collector issued an order to stop the operations of the High Range Zipline until further notice. The facility, which is officially owned by Sarojini, the wife of M.M. Lambodaran, was found to be operating in violation of restrictions placed on tourism activities during the current period of heavy rainfall and orange alert warnings in the district. Following the incident, the Adimaly police registered a case against the owner.

This closure follows reports that the establishment had previously violated operational regulations. The district administration took the decision to shut down the venture indefinitely due to the repeated nature of these legal violations and the potential risks posed to tourists during adverse weather conditions.
